Spent a lovely weekend in Foxton (many thanks to the Beatsons) with the poetry group I belong to. The only downside was the early morning duck-shooters, but the spoonbills made up for it.

lovely – a friend stayed there once and I visited but have never stayed myself – what a good idea taking a whole writing group – did you manage to write?

Got a couple of poems drafted – we had the perfect mix of writing time, walking on the beach time and shared meals. Lovely indeed.
